Review

After discovering the true evil that is the High Council and escaping death in the last second, Harper, Mary Anne, Leah and Jackson enter the portal to the shadow demons world and try to escape the grasp of the High Council. But they won’t give up that easily. And now Harper and the rest decide to hide in the underground world in the shadow demon world, and they don’t like humans.
I went through several emotions reading this book: relief, happiness, satisfaction, anger, anxiety. First they have to go to the underground world and I was happy that Harper escaped, but then Jackson says that they can’t be together because relationship between humans and demons are frowned upon. But it seems that it’s not only that. So I got very angry and disappointed with the way Jackson acted. Even though my heart was breaking, I was 100% with Harper, if he didn’t want to be seen with her, she didn’t own him anything. So I love when she began planning what to do to fight the High Council, free Aerden even though everyone didn’t think that was possible, and learn more about her own powers.
In this book we learn a few extra things about the covens in the human world, how things work in the shadow world, and how much power Harper really have, and the truth about her is amazing.
