Review: Touched by Grace

Image
Touched by Grace by Alicia Rades My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was a great book and we finally get to see Ryn learning more about how to control and use her powers and also finally learning to trust her instincts and be a bit more confident about her destiny. We also get to finally see some romantic development too, and I like how it was written, made me like Ryn and Marek even more. There are some things unexpected and the end just make you want to keep reading. Can't wait for the next one! I asked for an ARC from the author and I'm giving my honest review of it. Review: Chosen by Grace

Image
Chosen by Grace by Alicia Rades My rating: 5 of 5 stars I loved how fast paced this book was and I loved Ryn and how even though she was going to be this powerful protector, she didn't hyst suddenly become badass. She had trouble facing the truth and coming to terms of who she was and what she as supposed to do and she had to discover herself in order to finally accept and be whom she was meant to be. There's this little taste of romance that don't feel forced and make you want to see it developed more later on. Can't wait for the next book!! View all my reviews

Review: The Black Notebook

Image
The Black Notebook by Isabelle Snow My rating: 5 of 5 stars This is the kind of book that I only pick to read once in a while. I'm not much of a comtemporary fan, unless it involves a cute romance with some laughs along and this book fits a bit in that. There are moments more serious and the book certain points out that sometimes we see people everyday but don't really know who they really are when they aren't around other people. This book it's not overly dramatic (thank god, cant' stand too many "I want to talk to him but I'll do the oppost to get a reaction") and i'm thankful that of how the book played out and how even though Seven had a crush Colin for years, she didn't let that make her an idiot that can't speak up. So that made their enemies, friends to finally admitting their feelings quite cute and well timed. Though I did feel the urge to smack Colin a few times if I was in Seven's shoes xD

Review: Hidden: A Crossroads Tale

Image
Hidden: A Crossroads Tale by Lori Saltis My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was a great novella and it explain a bit of the background of some characters in the crossroads series. I was curious about why Roy and Cat were not together before the Folly since they know each other for a long time. And How George and Mike as twins never got along to the point of what we discovered in the end of Folly. And I was curious about the whole possible connection between the ying pearl dissapearance and the wisdom pearl too. I'm afraid to say too much and spoil someone that's is reading this before one of the books of Crossroads. We get a few of the answers but of course, there's always a lot to put together and it seems that the Two Dragon Clan has be dealing with deception for quite some time already. For a clan with so many traditions, the people involved often seem to try to take some advantage above each other, the clan seems to be power hungry for a lo

Review: Fake

Fake by Lori Saltis My rating: 5 of 5 stars Omg this book is awesome!! I can definitely put this book on my besties shelf, wait, I already did that before I finished reading it. I do love Asian fiction in most ways but even though the summary was quite interesting I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. The book does have a bit of supernatural powers and curses, the characters most of time are just like you and me and I guess that's what make the plot so interesting and impossible to drop. I loved seeing Paul/Lennon and Penny's friendship and eventually romance develop. It felt natural given the tragics happening in their lives and having to be someone they are not and neither want to become. Penny's family have a hard life trying to fit in a new country and the commom lifestyle, but they are really supportive of each other when it comes down to keep each other safe. I still don't know what to think of Paul's family a

Review: Folly

Folly by Lori Saltis My rating: 5 of 5 stars Just Wow! I honestly don't know how to begin explaining how amazing this sequel was. Let me try, first this book begins like 2 years after the first one so a lot changes in that time like Lennon getting to stay with his aunt in Seattle and training for the challenges of when he turns 18 and Penny has created he own online business selling clothes and accessories and her uncle challenged and won Kingfisher's place in the nest, so now it's safe for her family to be around the nest, excepts that her uncle expects her to marry like the tradition between strowlers woman to marry young. Even with so many new happening in their lives, Penny and Lennon can't seem to forget about each other despite that being what everyone around them keep saying is for the best. I loved how their relationship was the same and at same time wasn't, even though they had not be around each other for 2 years. Their
